I think this could be a good haggling line to get the commission down & the rate up. If we're stuck with Reed for another 9 months then they should lower their commission to say 6%.

12. NON-SOLICITATION
For the duration of this Agreement and for 12 months after its termination, the Intermediary and the Worker shall not:
12.1 solicit, interfere with or endeavour to entice from the Client any person, firm, employee or company who was at any time during the period of this Agreement an employee, client or customer of the Client; and
12.2 solicit additional or further work from the Client with the intention of performing services for the Client otherwise than directly through Reed.

Tendering for a repeat contract in the public sector
Hi,
My contract is up for renewal and I'm considering cutting out the agency (Reed) and tendering for my own contract through a managed limited.
I'd get more money from this and the client would pay less than they currently do. Reed currently take a 22% cut of a 10 month contract.
Is this a good idea? I know there is a bit of red tape to get the tender accepted.
