Hi all,

Im Matt, i work in IT and im fairly new to the world of contracting.

Im currently working my 2nd contract and have been recently approached by my old employer who has offered me a contract position that im thinking of taking. He has asked me to skip the agency and work direct. I spoke with my umbrella company who has said this is fine. Is there any thing else that i would be missing that i would receive if i went through an agency? any legal cover, contractual terms?

Im also going to take this opportunity to raise my hourly wage as there will be no agency cut. Am i right in thinking they normally take around 10-15% ?
