    IIRC There is a web site thingy for an ex air stewardess who runs a BB in central Newbury looked good and reasonable but that would not be walkable
    Being a cheapskate I alternated between Travelodge Chieveley or Tot Hill during my stay - Tot Hill is the nicer but not as close (Chieveley is walkable btw (but a tad dangerous)

    Have you checked spareroom.com?
    If you're there for a few months this can work out a lot cheaper, you get to use a kitchen during the week and you'll probably get internet access as well. (if you don't then get a 3 mobile dongle)

    Anyone know of any decent B&Bs in the area.
    After wireless and a single ensuite room. that's it.
    Clean and cheap(ish) and preferably walking distance to Vodafone HQ but that's not essential
