There used to be an OK outfit with the same name, that I've not heard from in years, I suspect this may be someone trying to trade on some old goodwill.

Interestingly, Nick Beckett is still the director of Broadgate IT, but their business activity is now listed on the Companies House website as :

Motion picture, television and other theatrical casting activities
    (SIC code 78101)

Stay well clear. They started operating Broadgate, whilst still taking money via JBA, knowing that loads of contractors were never going to receive the money. They ignored calls and at the time of liquidation JBA's accounts showed a director's "savings" account having a balance of £650 000+. No morals whatsoever...

I find it ironic that "Broadgate" is an anagram of "Abrogated" which means done away with or something like that.

    You're so cynical....

Maybe the weather cut the phone off? Maybe a BT engineed drilled through the cable? Maybe a rhino attacked the telegraph pole? Maybe he slipped, fell on his back, simultaneously ripping the phone out of the wall? Maybe his phone had an almighty failure and cut you off? Maybe a bird came along and..........

Yeah he was probably fishing to be fair

So if anyone is in contract with them (or looking to be), expect to be messed around not being paid on time until eventually they'll probably do the same as they've done in the past (and on more than one occasion by the looks of it) and do a runner having lots of unpaid invoices on their books. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

My personal recommendation is to avoid this bunch like the plague.

Would be a good idea as there are so many these days, but we would have to be professional about it and keep the naming and shaming to those that have gone bust etc...

That thought hadn't occured to me. It does surprise me the quality of senior recruiters these days.

    A CV fishing exercise?

Has anyone here worked with them before? The "lorem ipsum" on their webpage doesn't lend credence...
Why is that too good to be true?

The rate? 450 a day in banking is poor

Never heard of them before, but their Linkedin page looks a bit shifty.

Broadgate IT Ltd - Company Profile | LinkedIn

The recruiter in question has a questionable profile too.

She graduated in 2009, but has been in recruitment since 2008.
