vb/vb.net
I do use jobserve (daily!!). But in recent years I've had more direct work from clients that I've secured through approaching companies directly. Sometimes the best time to make yourself known to a company is before they advertise with the likes of Jobserve etc, i.e. when they are in the planning stages or even before then, when they are in the process of securing work from their clients or projects are only in the offing.
It's finding appropriate companies that can be tough - i.e., those that employ the skills you have.
The market seems to have picked up to what it was a few months ago but all the same, I want to put my eggs in as many "potential" baskets as possible.

VB / VB.Net contracts...
Can anyone tell me where in the north of England - Yorkshire - is the best place to find VB or VB.Net contracts, freelance work or work that can be done from your own office/home?
Any companies that use such technologies in this geographic region that people know of?
Thanks,
Darren
