I have made just a plain search by country name. i.e Italy.
Try it , SAP is all that comes back. People here joke about it , but the reality is there is work for SAPpers.

    Hi,

I've contracted in Stockholm (Kista) - it's a great place to work trust me! It's a quality place to work, but not to live - I found it too clinical. The food is amazing, the quality of everything is second to none, and it's really safe there.

I rented a serviced apartment for €1200 euros a month, it was expensive but far cheaper than hotels (and much nicer). I used to fly back home every weekend with Ryanair for 30 quid return - bargain! But, and there's a big but, Ryanair fly to Skavsta which is 1 1/2 hours away from Stockholm by bus! You can fly to Stockholm airport with SAS which is 20 mins by taxi, but SAS flights are around €400 return.

If you want any more details contact me ok, but make sure you get a decent rate - a pint of beer was €7 in 2008 !

Oh, and €400 euros a day isn't the best, I was on a hourly rate and my day rate was much higher than this. Try and negotiate finishing early on a Friday (most companies do there anyway), at least you can have a life and fly home Friday afternoon and return on Sunday's.

And watch out for the bank holidays - I was in Sweden around this time 2 years ago and I seem to remember them having lots of holidays in May - which you wont get paid for obviously. And.... check if your contract runs throughout the year, most of the ITCO's in Stockholm shutdown for 1 month in August - this is a good tip to check!

And if you stay in Sweden during bank holidays the place shuts down and it's completely dead - incl. the city centre, you'll be bored to tears.

    Sweden

Got the possibility of a 12 month role in Stockholm. Anyone know what the cost of living is like over there? In particular, how much would I be paying for a small 1 bed appartment. The rate is 400Euros / day which I'm guessing is pretty carp for over there.
Working...
