None of the above. If you don't like/trust/want to work with the agent, just go direct - if you're happy that they'd represent you in the right light, then go with them.

This is very basic stuff though - may I suggest a look at the "contracting for beginners" guides on this site?

in order to increase the chances of a hire which of the following is usefull and which not:

1) apply via recruiter for a certain position and via web site for a similar position but different job reference

2) apply via recruiter for a certain position and via web site for a different position but same divison

3) apply via recruiter for a certain position and via web site for a different
position in different divison or/and country
