I can thoroughly recommend every agency that has got me a contract.

    All the rest are scumbags.

    Hope this helps.

Can anyone recommend a decent agency for Public Sector Project Management positions?

I got into the working for a local council & care trust by luck last year - after 4 months on the bench took a crap rate as it was only 5 miles down the road I am now at my second 'Council' but I can not stand the lack pace and comittment.

Some agents tell me that their clients do not want ex-public sector workers and I am getting calls from other with the opening line ' my public sector client.......'

Russam GSM got me my last gig - short term but no interview !!!!

The best agency is the one that gets me the gig at the rate I want and manages my payments without fooking me about.

I could recommend a couple that have done exactly that but I bet you a pound to a piece of shit someone else has had a bad experience with them...

Reason I'm asking is that I have public sector experience, but 13 years ago doing different jobs to my current PM skillset.

The public sector may be about to die but still applying for whatever I can.

The best you can hope for is that some agencies are "less worse" than others.

I would echo those remarks about not having loyalty to any particular agency. I've been in situations a couple of times when I've had decent-sounding agents assure me that I am on the final shortlist of candidates for a role. (Some of them are masters at sounding like they are really trying to help you personally)

And then, because I have multiple phone numbers for various reasons, they call me on a different number later thinking I am someone different and pitch that same role at me again.

Which particular industry do you work in, as some have specified agents within said Agency that will deal with certain clients.
