How long should before I contact the Agent for updates on this…..

I don’t want to be in situation where I am still at client’s site in Jan without a contract agreed…or neither I want to show the agent that I am too keen..

What’s the best approach should I be taking in this situation….any thoughts?
There is a line spoken by Marsellus Wallace in Pulp Fiction which I find a useful reminder in all of life's endeavours.

We don't want to think, we want to know.
You need to talk to the agent and you need to make subtle enquiries to the client to find out if the agent is telling you the truth.
