The Support Officer will be required to:
Engage with stakeholders and ensure all information relating to the rollout and level of activity is communicated effectively.
Ensure that arrangements for site co-ordinators, awareness and cascade trainers and access/security contacts have been appointed, know when the rollout will take place, know their duties and confirm that Duty Lists take account of their work during the rollout;
Ensure that training material, education and awareness arrangements have been made and booked for specific nominated staff;
Ensure that the Supplier has agreed with the site where equipment is to be stored, when and for how long, together with all required access permissions including passes, and has agreed the route for equipment into and out of storage;
Confirm with the site the day and time of arrival, together with courier's details, for delivery of the new kit, and similarly for removal of old equipment;
Ensure that the Supplier acquires all required permissions and passes before the date of the rollout;
Compile and maintain Implementation Plans for each site;
Ensure adequate and sufficient rollout, training and user documents are maintained for end users, suppliers and project team members use;
Provide communications to site representatives, supplier representatives and project team members;
Receive and act upon support queries from various sources, handle responses and take appropriate action.
Mandatory:
3 years plus experience of providing project support to an IT project, or a computer system for a medium to large organisation
Good communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Cleared to SC security level (as a minimum)
Can use Microsoft Word and Excel
Knowledge and experience of using the PRINCE project management methodology
