The same thought had occurred to me. Are you sure these aren't agents (or agents pretending not to be agents) who are contacting you?

    1) the content is not finished at all , I have papers to post and presentations , the current content was based on old CV
    2) the SEO was based on "process analysis CV" (google number 1)
    3) I take it on the chin about the personal details and i thank you for that
    4) I have had several calls as a result of the website

But the rest is needless newbie bashing and its pretty strange considering everyone on here is supposed to be a senior proffessional , pick on the new guy , if you look back at the tone of most of the replies its amazing anyone posts here!

I apologise for posting on your forum I dont think I will bother again

Its only worth being ranked #1 if you know what people are going to search for surely.

As for spelling ?! didn't realise this was a test . Bit to busy to spend time spell checking forum posts , besides it gives all you keyboard warriors something to do.
We didn't even begin to flame you. Chill out.

Get over yourself. Calm down. Then go back and count how many positive, constructive, insightful and FREE bits of advice you've been given. The price was a bit of flak for our amusement.

If you look at the Technical forum, you will find that I have been criticised a lot heavier than you have been.

I would take the comments you have been given with some grace and look at improving your site accordingly.

I wouldn't worry about it. It's fair to say it's a fairly unique forum, this one.

I think it's part of the "initiation rites" that every newcomer seems to go through to cop a load of unnecessary abuse for almost no reason whatsoever.

If you're still posting afterwards, you get deemed (through slightly lesser amounts of unnecessary abuse) to be worthy of staying.

If you never come back, you probably weren't a real contractor anyway. You do get slagged off behind your back by the permies at your gigs for no good reason other than you are a contractor, don't you? Same sort of thing.

I have to say though, I think you'll get a level of honesty and directness that you won't get in other forums I've seen.

It's a bit like that annoying person in your life who's always criticizing and needlessly having a go at you for almost everything you do. Yeah, you hate them but at least you'll know you'll get the truth about whether your new clothes/haircut/whatever suits you - and you respect them for it...the "Simon Cowell" effect.

Well, I would like to thank you. I has given me the opportunity to promote my website too. I have had loads more hits than I normally do. I might even add some more content. I've spent nothing on it and, as I said, it is to ranked on google for "hairy arsed bloke" without me putting any effort into it at all.
