HOLY MARY MOTHER OF GOD! The b*stards! But you're quite right Richard Granger the man at the top of this god awful tree has decided to 'threaten' the LSP's with fire and brimstone but we'll see MS could probably do a decent job despite the fact they own the world already

Well reformation, if you're one of those poor b*rstards in the public sector who's actually fighting against the system to get something useful done, while you watch millions being p*ssed down the drain on the consultancies, then I sympathise.

I've worked on a few good public sector projects where I've seen all the cash being spent on Accidenture and such like, while someone struggles to get some people in to do a real job using tactics and covert budgetary tricks that would put MI5 to shame.

Keep trying is all I can say....

"No. It's for the NHS so money is a little tight and it's not a senior role, it's a code monkey role nothing strategic. Hence the rate which is about £24 an hour, not THAT bad for plonkey development work is it?!"

Tell that to the Accidenture guys who wouldn't even bother hitting the snooze button for that amount.

LOL you're preaching to the converted Joe ;-) I know that 'Sin'tegra and Accidenture are doing a tulip job and all the meaty roles come out of Leeds and the DoH account but this is just a little plonky in house role. soz it not paying more guys but thats the score, ok ok ok ok £25 an hour?

Money is a little tight because they've given it all to Accidenture/BT etc. - all forms of Government waste are now being outsourced to private companies who can do the job so much better.

started a topic VB.Net Developer? Need a Job?

    VB.Net Developer? Need a Job?

Anyone fancy doing a VB.Net, ASP role for the NHS for 3-6 months starting end of Nov? Must have SQL or Oracle, any relational database stuff will do and it's to go through the full lifecycle of developing a data entry system, you'll be coding rather than implimenting the project so dont expect mega bucks! Can pay about £180 to £190 a day? Any takers? If you're WAY more senior than this please resist the urge to scoff at the rate, the job isnt for you it's for someone more junior ;-)

And its application development not web thanks guys ;-)

Working...
