Track down some of the dirctors home addresses via Companies House.
If you live nearby, pop down to their offices and see if there is anything pinned to the door that may give a clue.
Check with their accountants.

As you say, not looking good.

Would also speak with the client and see what other arrangements can be made to keep your role going, possibly another agency, or even direct.

Hopefully you were weekly paid and had your invoices/timesheets submitted up to date.
