Scottish electorate would never ever vote for a party that proposed corp tax cuts. The lefties would start screaming about fat cats paying less tax that than cleaners and that would be that unfortunately. Most people would not be able to understand the cause and effect model.

It very much depends on how you sell it if you say massive job increases will occur if we cut corp tax then they'll buy that. Your also assuming the Scottish electorate is still hugely centre left the fact its stopped voting Labour like lemmings proves it isnt.

Quiet recruiting

Actually the life companies have still been recruiting cos I was told this but its very low key. Unless the parliament gets treasury powers cant see us pulling out of this recession before England does if it does we could cut corp tax and poach fund management companies from the south.

I'm on the look out again...current contract ends this month...with offer of a one month extention only. Things dont appear to be as bad as I thought they were.....may well have to take the month but should be able to secure something after that. Hbos / Widows etc all recruiting at the moment...as are TPF.

Apart from the Festival in August - theres nothing doing anywhere in Auld Reekie - the financial sector collapse means no IT jobs to be had.

Maybe better in 2011ish .
