    Setup an off the shelf UK ltd.

    Invoice through this.

    Then have your Irish company invoice your UK company for services.

    Bingo, no profit in the UK and no UK tax to pay.

    It's what the big boys do and HMRC don't take a blind bit of notice*


    * It helps if you donate money to the Labour party.

    There are perhaps being excessively cautious, but they can choose to do business on whatever terms they want.

    Of course if you are UK resident and operating an Irish company there are interesting things you may be falling foul of. But that's your problem. Essentially if you think you can simply take advantage of the more lax regime in Ireland and amass money off shore there well you will get away with it for some time, but may at some point get a nasty shock.

    You could alway insert a UK company between the irish one and the agent of course.

    I had the same problem, the agency wanted a UK company to cover themselves regarding your tax. For a short contract maybe look at an umbrella.

    I have been offered a short contract by my old company and have gladly taken them up on the offer.

    An agency which the company use is dealing with the contract details. The issue I have is they wont deal with my Irish company only UK companies which is their policy.

    Are the agency just being lazy? or am I left with the situation of setting up a UK Company?- which I dont want
