    Apply to multiple agencies for the same vacancy. The first one that contacts you and asks to represent you is the agency, in principle, you should go with. If you don't like the agency, don't accept the role if offered. If you are worried about credit worthiness(sp?) of an agency, do a credit search before applying for the role, that way you can eliminate the problem. If you are worried about the attitude of the agent, call them up before you apply.
