Apply to multiple agencies for the same vacancy. The first one that contacts you and asks to represent you is the agency, in principle, you should go with. If you don't like the agency, don't accept the role if offered. If you are worried about credit worthiness(sp?) of an agency, do a credit search before applying for the role, that way you can eliminate the problem. If you are worried about the attitude of the agent, call them up before you apply.

Using another agency after submitting CV

If I give my CV to an agency who then put it forward for a vacancy, am I committed to that agency for that role? I now think the agency that put me forward is not that good and I would be better off with another one that is also advertising the same role.
Does the fact I agreed to them putting me forward mean I can't now use someone else instead?
