When they give you some work to do, just keep repeating "Sorry, that is not data warehousing, I am only contracted to do data warehousing". They will soon terminate you.

Imagine if I got a plumber in to put a bathroom in, but told him to paint the lounge instead because my wife can't decide on the bathroom layout. What would he do?

a) Paint the lounge, take the dosh and wait for the bathroom decision
b) Tell me to stuff the painting job up my arris and leave

If he did b, do you think I could sue him?

Agreed. There's so little going on at the present I'd suggest that if you're in a contract, do you're best to stay there.

Talk to the client and explain that you don't think you are needed and would like to save them some money. If they agree you can go, then you are on your way.

Is the place and work really that bad ? Relax ! Post on here ! Start learning something else !?

You should never had signed a contract that had no termination clause within it. From a commercial point of view, having no termination clause is great, unless you have a clause that states that you don't get paid for no work. Either ride the wave, or get the client to terminate the contract. One way to get yourself fired has been demonstrated by the previous poster.
