    they sent me the same line yesterday telling us we were going from a 7 hour day to a PWD of min 7 hours.

    They hit us with the 15% drop last week.

    Found out today that this outfit were responsible for 'completing a market comparison of IT contractor rates in the UK against its peers in the finance sector in light of the current commercial climate' the result of which initiated a 15% reduction across the board in one financial institution.......

    The rate practically makes it cheaper to hire a contractor than it is to recruit a permie.......

    Apparantly due to CP's high volume/low margin strategy this 'shoot in the foot' report will strengthen their market hold.....
    Hence I now intend giving up contracting and looking for a permamnent position.

    Nice going CP, wipe out yer business in one full swoop.
