    Be patient my man, its probably going a bit quiet pre-election, but there should be roles around after that - what was the bill for the anti-laundering legislation changes I saw in the paper the other day? $50-$100 million estimated for IT system changes at banks etc. I assume you are looking in Wellington and Auckland?

    The barren news pages of the ContractorUK website *finally* caught up with events worldwide and actually had this snippet of news buried in an article....

    The fallout from each of the four major banks’ IT departments is still being counted, but initial estimates suggest that layoffs from just Lehman and Merrill will effectively “glut” the IT jobs market.


    Hmmmmm. Dark grey clouds are descending on the Eurozone. At least daylight saving starts here this weekend!

    Still in Nz a week on the bench so far and looking very quiet. pimps all scrambling for same roles, nothing thru networks etc.... Giving it another week and then maybe back to uk. If you want further info on Nz email me [email protected].

    What are the chances......

    Coming back to Uk after 4 year stint in New Zealand. Did 6 years permie before I left at large software house in London. .net c# c++ developer. Will I have to take crap rate as no recent UK experience. People still around in UK for references and NZ ones can be done. Are the pimps going to think too much hassle etc? I suppose you all think I'm nuts for coming back now but the market in NZ is really slow and it's another 3 months til weather hots up!
