It's to do with whether you may be susceptible to commit fraud etc to pay off all your debts, credit cards and BTL mortgages...

Interview coming up and the client requires permission to conduct a credit check before they can interview me - what is this Mi6?

Is this the norm now? First time I've ever been asked to do this in my x years of contracting...
