    I thought they claimed to work for the client. I can see the use of having an agent representing me in the same way that an actor does. I know of small agencies that employ freelance sales bods on commission only - how about the same for individual freelancers/contractors? Could it be a sideline for a rec con?

    Dunno. I can see about 4000 IT recruitment agencies claiming that they already do that job...

    But the article was talking about keeping genuine freelancers out of the regulations that affect temporary workers, wasn't it?

    Freelancer marketing agencies

    According to a PCG newsletter I've just received, freelancers can opt out of the DTI agency regulations that forbid agencies from charging candidates to 'find work'.
    So, are there any decent marketing companies suitable for IT freelancers?
