    just use the scattergun approach, and expect absolutely nothing from any of them.

    My advice? Keep on good terms with everyone you work with, never p1ss anyone off, always leave on good terms, keep in touch with old colleagues.......
    Most contracts these days are filled before they are advertised, by friends of permies or existing contractors.
