as he said... get networking first, I hope you keep good relations with all your old contacts, clients, co workers, bosses PA's etc...

Agencies should be used as a backup

Whoah there, first thing's first, phone up every single client you've ever had and ask them out for a pre-Christmas drink or lunch (or New Year if they are too busy) just to "catch up" on your respective business developments. Your objective, of course, is to try and obtain some direct business.

Good sources of work

I'm just about to finish on a long term contract (15 months - started as 6) and was wondering what are the best sites are for job searching? Is it still Jobserve or are there any others that are half decent?
not relishing dealing with the pimps again
