On site with the end cline ti'm working for at the moment, the PMs get paid a fair bit more. The starting day rate for a pm being at the top end of the BA day rate.

PM seems to be a more transferable skill as up till recently I've seen many more PM jobs out there than BA ones.

I do both, PMs get a better rate, but there is more BA work at the moment - and as you know it's a lot less stressful...

having been in a similar position I would say market yourself in the role you feel happiest in.

In Financial Services, decent PM roles still commanding a better rate. However, without stating the obvious far more BA/RA opportunities.

Been keeping an eye on this for a while as i'm in the same boat. BAs are definately paying better at the moment, unless your a hot programme manager, then its bug bucks baby.

Think companys like keeping the PM role inhouse regardless of how good they are and just contract out to good BAs, who do the PM job for the in house dude anyway.

I think most BAs have good PM experience, but not so much the other way round? Any thoughts?
