    I knew eLance was nearly hopeless, though the odd bum-on-seat contract does come up once in while on there.

    I was hopeing that with oDesk there would be some UK/EU companies who would prefer a "local" doing the work.

    Admititely, it is a buyers market on there.

    I wouldn't bother if I was you, the rates are so low as you are competing with people in Eastern Europe and Asia.

    Come December I'll be on a very limited role here and will something else. I'd rather not have to commute the world so was wondering if I should give oDesk a go.

    Has anyone here tried oDesk for work?
