    All countries have a seperate IP laws - well for Patents anyway, however most EU countries use the EPO to register patents - it usually costs about the same as individual countries and you can register accross many others.

    As an aside I think the German IPO just introduced a new Patent Register system...

    Long shot:

    Does anyone have a link to a English précis of German intellectual property law (Urhebergesetz?)? Just something digestable. Google/Wikipedia seem to be no help and I don't want to pay for any shysters yet.
