I am looking for an experienced project manager to take over the implementation of two new joint venture hospitals on behalf of my client.
Job Title: IT Implentation Manager (Managed Services)
The Implementation Manager will design and implement the IT infrastructure and applications required by these hospitals. It will also establish a professional and commercially sound IT managed service which will act as a model for the delivery of IT managed services to all customers in the client's group.
The role combines project management and commercial experience and excellent relationship management skills to provide confidence to the customers and ensure delivery from both internal and external IT partners.
Key Responsibilities
• Specification and delivery of all IT infrastructure, applications and services for the client’s new joint venture hospitals in line with the client's existing infrastructure and application standards unless otherwise agreed.
• Development, sourcing and delivery of training for IT systems for the new hospitals.
• Implementation project management as a key component of the overall hospital implementation programme.
• Relationship development with customers and suppliers.
• Negotiate and contract with IT suppliers to supply IT infrastructure, applications and services.
• Development of a commercial agreement for the supply of IT services to the hospitals.
• Development of a service level agreement for the delivery of IT managed services to the new hospitals, along with appropriate business-focussed KPI reporting. This should also act as a model for the delivery of IT managed services to other customers (internal and potentially external).
• Develop quality control measures to safeguard the delivery of IT infrastructure, applications and services.
Candidate Specification
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• 10 years project managed experience
• Excellent relationship development skills
• Experience in negotiating and managing IT service contracts
• Track record in building strong supplier relationships at all levels
• Track record in successful delivery of IT systems and services
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong written, verbal and analytical skills
• Prepared to travel within the UK
The client is located in Guildford and Cardiff, however the location of the right candidate is flexible. It is anticipated that the contract will last for approximately 9 months.
