Accountants
Hi there,
We are a firm of accountants and look after many subcontractors.
Please give me a call on 01727 810055 to discuss.
Kind regards.

There are a number of accountants who regularly post on this site and generaly get good press from the users.
I use Darren at Uptons.
You will also find Simon at SJD and as already recomended there is Nixon Williams.
Contact them and ask them for a quote and a list of services offered then make your decision.
If you wish to be regarded as in business on your own account (an outside IR35 pointer) then you need to be doing a good amount of your companies work. You need to be running the business.
Letting your accountant "run" your business will expose you to the new MSC rules and I would be surprised if any accountant is still offering these kinds of service. Be very wary if they are.
I am sure the resident accountants will be along to offer their services soon.

I use Nixon Williams and have been impressed with their service. They will do your book, company tax return, personal tax return, anything to deal with HMRC and other taxation related stuff. Invoice & expenses is something that you have to do yourself and at the of each month submit the invoice & expense sheet to Nixon Williams.
Of course you can do this yourself, but for only £71 a month you get professional advice. I think they are worth it, especially the ones that will also act as 'company forming agents'. There are several that are mentioned quite often here.

Accoutants
Hi,
I am currently a permy but will be looking to go contract very soon.
However I am a little unsure on the role of an accountant. Do I need one for my first contract and what exactly should I expect them to provide as a service?
All accountants I have spoken to have said they will look after the paperwork and invoicing sid of things if I want and also have a hand in setting up my limited company but are these things I can do myself or am best to leave to an accountant?
Advice on this will be appreciated.
Thanks
