It takes ages... call your local office up, they might be getting around to your application soon.
I applied in March, and they are just about to start processing my application.

VAT Registration

I registered back in March this year for VAT with a newly started company, I now find that I no longer need the company and want to unregister for VAT after everything is paid etc.

However, I have not heard a thing since sending the forms etc with my accountant. Anyone waiting this long? Its now 4 months plus...
