Also makes your ltd look more like a professional company not simply a service company that may fall under the IR35 gaze, especially if you make up some products and services

My ltd has it's own website offering all sorts of tulipe I'd never bother actually doing. If any mug contacts me about a product or service I may well reconsider, at a suitable high price/rate of course.

Certainly keep your CV well hidden, maybe change the password regularly so any agencies you've given the link to will have to request access to get an up to date one, then you're in control of your details.

I don't bother putting a CV on my site, prefer to use the site to promote my companies consulting resources/skills rather than my own. Anyone after my CV needs to convince me they worthy of it, and not just harvesting contacts.

    Password protected?

You'll be lucky if you can get them to download it anyway: I have mine freely available on the site and downloadable in Word format from a link. Invariable they call me and ask me to email it.

General suggestions as to content or links to existing sites much appreciated.

Why do you want a website? In the answer to that lies the answer to your question.
