Why the 7-10 day wait for it particurlary if you do not have o/s pay to be processed?

There should be no reason why they can't process it straight away. All they have to do is push a button on their accounting software...

Look on the bright side though at least you are not a number anymore...

To me it seems that Giant's service has been a shambles since they lost their Powerhouse. Service is very important and they are loosing it

    Similar situation

I'm in a similar situation but tbh don't really understand why I actually need the P45?

I'll get it sooner or later so what's the rush!?

Well, surprise surprise, Giant said they had no record of my request for a P45.

Anyway, they process them every Friday and then post them out that day - so I'm told.

Obviously got to wait until the end of the month to submit my timesheet to Giant but would the best thing to do be to request my P45 after I've submitted the timesheet. I can't find any details of notice period on Giants website but I've heard from people on here thats its best to get hard copies of all the information kept on their website as once you've requested the P45 they disable your access to the web portal..
The only close your access once they have posted out the P45, there was 2 week delay between me requesting and them claiming it had been sent out.

You've just reminded me, I requested this on April 6th and still no sign, and my portal is still active. I hope I'm not one of the horror stories. Must chase it up.

As above, but invoice from your new company straight away, don't wait till the end of this month. Have the agent cancel the contract with giant after you have had your last payslip.

I would wait until you've printed off your last pay and dividend advice slips before requesting your P45, lest you be locked out. Or am I being too cautious? I suppose it's a little awkward to ask them.
