Put it up for free. Give it ago, get feedback, improve it, if it's a brilliant idea with low cost of entry people will copy it.

But least you can say you thought of it first!

You can expect an income of 'I' for a level of web-traffic 'W'.

I'm not looking for help, free advice, etc. I'm looking for somewhere that will give me statistics on the type of income I can expect for a level of web traffic.

It doesn't provide the same service as FR but is similar in style, in that it links people together, much like a dating agency site would...

But that isn't what the site is.

Names, Faces, Places is like FR, they weren't getting anywhere near the hits.

Think those kind of sites have had their day and it was a 2001 thing. Hardly any new people on FR from my schools.

I don't want to say too much - it seems to be a real niche, and posting the gory details on a bulletin board would be a bit silly of me...

Although different in nature, it's a site similar to friends reunited, but provides a service - I don't expect traffic to be anything like FR - but I'm hoping to offer the service for free, which should increase traffic.

Not sure how to run with it..

What's the nature of the site. The only content I would pay for would something I was passionate about, say Manchester City FC, and could get something I couldn't get elsewhere.
