incubus
Incubus - I accidently stumbled across Incubus in the dictionary the other day. It's defined as:
'a demon believed in folklore to have sexual intercourse with sleeping women'
Is this related to your idea??

hardly niche. There are a lot of site providing this - mostly for 40year old men and 12 year old girls.
Anyhow this is my fisrt foray into Business for a while - how is the site shaping up ?

Have lost touch etc
Have similar interests/ideas/beliefs
Want to date/meet/****
Want to sell/buy something
zzzzz ..... zzzz .... zzz ... zz .. z .
Niche = small market?
Put it up for free. Give it ago, get feedback, improve it, if it's a brilliant idea with low cost of entry people will copy it.
But least you can say you thought of it first!

Guest repliedVague answer for vague question
You can expect an income of 'I' for a level of web-traffic 'W'.

Guest repliedI'm not looking for help, free advice, etc. I'm looking for somewhere that will give me statistics on the type of income I can expect for a level of web traffic.

Guest repliedYou're very vague...
'I've got an idea, can't tell you what it is, hush-hush, how do I go about putting it onto a web-site'.
People only pay for porn

Guest repliedMaybe I confused you.
It doesn't provide the same service as FR but is similar in style, in that it links people together, much like a dating agency site would...
But that isn't what the site is.

Guest repliedNames, Faces, Places is like FR, they weren't getting anywhere near the hits.
Think those kind of sites have had their day and it was a 2001 thing. Hardly any new people on FR from my schools.

Guest repliedI don't want to say too much - it seems to be a real niche, and posting the gory details on a bulletin board would be a bit silly of me...
Although different in nature, it's a site similar to friends reunited, but provides a service - I don't expect traffic to be anything like FR - but I'm hoping to offer the service for free, which should increase traffic.
Not sure how to run with it..
Cheers,
Kev

Guest repliedSo what is the nature of the business and what will the website offer

Guest repliedSod all from advertising.
What's the nature of the site. The only content I would pay for would something I was passionate about, say Manchester City FC, and could get something I couldn't get elsewhere.
