    Thanks for that.

The project I was on has been shelved [ for the time being ] until the outcome of Project 2 is known.
Project 2s output is to provide direction for Project 1, and Project 1 cannot continue until this piece of work is complete.

I guess I could argue that the work I'm doing now is a pre-requisite to the 'main deal', and therefore is part of the same thing.

I recently changed the contract I have as I changed from being under an MSC to my own ltd company - is it possible to back-date the contract to the date the change took place ?

This is exactly the reason I did not renew with my govt client. They 'told' me to do a different job for 3 months which is not one of the services I sell. I refused and when it came to renewal, although offered, I turned it down due to the client still wanting me to undertake the other piece of work.

    Too much control...

    Change of Role.

    Guys & Gals,

I've been on-site with a Gvt client for nearly 6 months now, the "role" I applied for formed part of the schedule of the contract - i.e. what project I'd work on, deliverables etc.

The project was 'shelved' a month or so back and I'm now working on something totally different.

Should I get a new contract with the agency to cover the work I'm now doing - the reasoning behind this is that if I'm just doing whatever is required, then it soulds like an IR35 pointer...

All views, opinions and general abuse welcome [ well apart from the last bit ]

Working...
