They dont take 13 weeks taking my money off me the sons of whores!Originally posted by BOBJThink about it, they have to make sure they don't give you a number they have already used. To do that they go through all their paper records one by one and write down the numbers they already have. Then they try and find one they haven't used...then they find some more paper records and check those. Then they realise they've lost the first list they wrote. Then they send you someone elses VAT registration number.
Well in the meantime i wount get any VAT until my number comes through and then it will be backdated. Its never easy with the IR

i use to use giant before i went limited a few weeks ago.
I used them for around 2.5 months and i never had any problems with them.
I did start to get problems when i had to send my reciepts in. Thats where the system went down hill!
Payements for reciepts that they had recieved were not on payroll on right week if at all. I had to ring them a few times to tell them that they have the reciepts so why they not adding it to expenses.
Anyway, i was paid on time, they were good getting back to my emails, and all round not bad.
However i am now through my own limited company around £300 a month better off as a minimum!

I seem to remember quite a few people having problems with Giant. Try searching the forums.

Thats your first mistake then.......try looking at ContractorUmbrella (run by SJD) or Parasol. They seem to be the legit ones.

Don't worry, wait till April and the government will take that surprise away and replace it with another one....Originally posted by DiestlI've decided to go with a Umbrella for the first few months, as my Bank Account wont be set up in time (waiting on new passport). I'm surprised that my take home pay is so high with umbrella (80%).
