Hello,

Just wondering if anyone on here has contracted for Unilever in Port Sunlight over the last 12 months or so; IT division. A good place to contract?

Do they engage direct with small suppliers or push contract roles through larger consultancies?

Any word on how they're handling IR35?

Talking to their recruitment agents hasn't revealed much (no surprise). I heard a rumour that they've gone multi-vendor with large consultancies and do not directly engage with smaller suppliers, but cannot confirm this.

Large pharma companies are becoming a rare North West breed. It's all Cambridge way. AstraZeneca was an old hunting ground but they pulled out of Cheshire in 2014. The manufacturing site at Macclesfield still exists though.

Unilever is just about commutable for me, hence the enquiry.

Thanks,
