Workday Certification for Contractors

Workday, unlike Oracle, are very protective of their certification, you have to either work for them or one of their accredited partners to become certified.

They also offer a customer accreditation programme (Workday Pro), but that is only open for employees of Workday customers.

Is anyone privy to any information or tips as to how an independent contractor can achieve some kind of formal certification or accreditation?
