This. Get the contractor to use their own Ltd or a brolly. Consider how you will manage cash flow if your subbie needs paying before you are paid.

Your accountant may be able to shed some light on it. But I would consider not doing paye and just getting the contractor to bill you as a B2B transaction.
I don’t know much about it but if you go down the paye route you may get stung for much more responsibilities?
Worth checking out and someone on here will be able to give more detailed advice.

Sub Contracting - is it really worth it?
I need some advise on whether or not to sub contract some of my work, I need to understand the pro's and con's as I've recently started my own Limited company. A few months ago i did some work through an agency for a company based in Sheffield, shortly after on completion the company contacted me direct and I'm now a preferred contractor based in the Midlands for them. However the work is offered to me as ITT (invitation to tender), things have picked up pace already and I'm presently dealing with my first contract but unfortunately I can only do this over the weekend as I have a full time job, this is where i need a sub contractor to finish off the work. On this occasion i have a contractor in mind and i'm in the process of setting up a PAYE within my Ltd Company.
Has anybody else setup a PAYE from within there Limited company? And is it really worth it?Tags: None
