As I read the rules of LinkedIn there is one that says they won't delete company profile if there is more than 50 employees. When you create company profile it has to be chose how many people work in company but I'm not sure if it applies to chosen number of workers or people who claim they work there.

Definitely an automated system. Has created one for my ltd Co also with a link to my website, but has got the name slightly wrong!

Have any of you perhaps stated that you work at yourco on Linkedin? You think that might be where they heard of your global corporation?

Oh Yes just seen thanks for the heads up - how very cheeky and annoying.

Hmm. My company is there as well, so I guess it's some automatic harvesting from publically available data. I do rather feel I should have ownership of that page, though, being the sole director and majority shareholder of the org.

Just found my Ltd on LinkedIn. I was excited to see that someone from my school is employed there!
Turns out it's me.

Hmmm, me too. I have two employees apparently. Both in Montreal. I'll have to sack one of them though as they've spelt their job title wrong.
It seems they're created automatically by LI. What to do about it is here -> https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/answer/55962

I created one for mine so I could control it when Linkedin told me there are 4 people claiming to work for the same Ltd

MyCo on LinkedIn
I was messing around on LinkedIn and noticed my Limited Company has its own page - no details per se other than sector, company name and location, but I didn't set it up. My other half has her own Limited too and, lo and behold, there's one for that Ltd company too.
I know a lot of this detail is in the public domain and cursory google searches will show details about MyCo, but I can't help but feel somewhat annoyed that a LinkedIn profile has been set up without consulting me.
Does anyone know when this started? I am going to ask for it to be taken down.Tags: None
