    I had a similar case a few year ago.

    I pointed out to the agent I wasn't opted-out so they needed to pay me. They threatened the client with legal action, the client authorised my time sheet and the agency paid up.

    And the client still pretends they got rid of me due to incompetent, when I actually turned down the renewal they offered me due to their horrid behaviour towards people who worked for them and their blatant lies to the client.

    Good advice - Thank you. The opt-out and contract came after I started on site. It was very rushed and badly handled.

    I have already emailed over train tickets - it is incredulous, but needs be! The clients beef is I was not working the hours he wanted, but the contract only states Day, no specified hours. The agent is comfortable I have been on site for the days in question. Will check out Safer Collections. Thanks.

    Was your opt-out done correctly e.g. before you were introduced to the client?

    Have you got proof you did the work? You should also have train tickets to prove you went to the client site.

    If you have tell the agency in writing you have proof you did the work and they need to agree with the client to pay you as your opt-out was done incorrect. (Don't engage with the agency by phone unless you are recording it so you can make detailed notes later. )

    Then have a word with Safer Collections.

    If it was me, I wouldnt let this go.
    It was indeed just a weeks notice either way.

    Payment terms are signing off the timesheet by the following Tuesday for payment the following Friday. My beef is that he did not register any complaint or query until today, three days after he should have signed off last weeks timesheet.

    If the client doesnt want you to give notice then dont put it in the contract. No good bleating about it afterwards.
