    Reviving Old Thread

I've just had a similar experience, TGC World had set up an interview . After three weeks and TGC being very evasive, promising updates, I called the interviewer who said something baffling and incomprehensible about reservation role functions and meaningless corporate gibberish, I asked her out right if there was actually a role and If I had been rejected, the eventual response was their client, had filled the role 1 week after my interview and that they had told their agencies.

In a nutshell, treat with caution and if going on a long trip, get an agreement to re-reimburse expenses as that's probably the only thing you'll see for your efforts.

I have spoken to to few local agencies who bear out similar stories from other candidates.

    Hi,

I was offered the role eventually but it was really odd the whole process. I was bugging them for ages for feedback from the interview, and at one point when I had an offer from another company - I pushed them further. They came back and said, they have filled the role. Only to call back a week later saying they were offering me the role (and seemed to forget/deny they told me previously it had gone). By this point I'd accepted the other role so I didn't end up working through them. It was very odd dealing with them and think I'd only deal with them again if I was desperate.

From what I gathered, they are tied into Tech Mahendra, a consultancy company and for my role, they initially marketed the role to me with a client (a household name), but by the time I got the interview confirmation, it was suddenly for Tech Mahendra (who's end client was the household name) - just seemed very dodgy how they presented it to me - hiding until the last minute that it would actually be for a consultancy (even though the role was specifically for a certain end client).

Just beware, thats all I'd say. Good luck

    Anyone worked via TGC World?

    Hi All,

Just had a call about a contract role from a guy at TGC World TGCWorld - Emerging Global Management and IT Service

I just wondered if anyone else here have worked via them? I can't tell if they are a recruitment agency or a consultancy that places 'TGC Consultants' into these contract roles on site somewhere. Anyone had a contract via these guys? Ok? Pay on time etc?

    Cheers
