If you know what your skills are and what you normally do then "suggest" wording yourself.

What are they expecting you to do? I can't believe that they want you to start next week but don't know that yet.

It doesn't have to be a specific "make 37 widgets every day according to the specification document entitled 'specification for bookman.doc", but they must have some idea.

"Provide technical expertise in developing widgets for project BigWidget" for example, gives both them and you the idea of the scope of your work.

Client not specifying work in the contract

    Hi,

Working through putting a contract together with a client. It's all done except for the Schedule which should describe details of the work to be done. It's completely blank and they've said they can't provide those details at the moment, but want the contract to start next week.

This is my first contract so I'm not sure but this seems very wrong, partly because I always expected the work to be done to be a critical part of the contract but also because it will probably cause trouble for my IR35 status.

What should I expect and what should I be asking for?

    Thanks for any help!

Working...
