I make ~63 miles round trip from east London to Slough 4 times a week. This is pretty brutal, as it usually works out about 75 minutes each way, 55 of which is in lengthy London's traffic jams

This worked out to ~400 in claimed mileage last month

Just out of curiosity, how far do you guys commute each day to work ?

I walk from my bedroom to my study each day.

Last time I wasn't at home, I did a 2 hour train journey Monday and Friday, five minute walk each day between flat and client.

Hotel - Chester to York (1.5-2 hours drive)
Hotel to Client - 10mins max.

I tend to keep any commuting from home to under an hour if possible.

Previous client (when I was still a contractor) 25 minutes drive each way
Before that 90 minute 'walk - train - tube' and the same in reverse each day

Only 115 miles. But it's up the M1 with all the rubbish road works.
Setting the alarm clock on a Sunday night is the lowest point of the week.
I stay over Mon - Fri.

Used to be ~160 miles e/w, until I moved closer to client (long story!)

10 mins bus, 5 minute wait, 15 mins train, 2 min walk, 3 minute wait, 25 mins bus.

1 hour each way.

Do WFH at least one day a week.

If you ran you could cut that down to 59 minutes
