I think you would be best to start by talking with an IFA. They will talk you through your pension options, and offer some decent long term investment advice. The chap we use does a particularly good job in this area, and understands contractors businesses. I will PM you the details.

See the little box at the top of the screen on the right hand side with a magnifying glass near it?
Type the word "Pension" into it and press return.
You then get many posts like this and this.
You can then read all the recent threads on pensions and decide if any of those are like what you want to do as there are a loads of options available to you. Once you think you have one you may want to do come back and ask for the advantages and disadvantages.
Anyway on another note as you are new to contracting do you know what a "war chest" is? (This isn't a trick question btw)Last edited by SueEllen; 18 September 2012, 08:13.

New to Contracting - Pension Question
Hi Guys,
I have been contracting for 3 months now and its all going really well, thanks for all the advice!
I have a question with regards to pensions. I understand the 2 types that could benefit me and would like to visit the company contributions.
Can anybody recomend any companies?
If I transfer for example £100 per month to this pension account, is the HMRC contribution basically no tax?
