Nominee shareholder service

Anyone used or can recommend a nominee shareholder service?

About to start up a limited; 2 major shareholders will be directors (and will be listed as such with companies house). A 3rd, minor shareholder will not be a director and we want the shareholding done through a nominee account (for confidentiality reasons).

Had a google and have come up with a few companies that offer this service, starting from £100 a year. Just wondered if anyone has experience of using such a service?

Thanks - we're seeing an accountant Friday and if selected, they will probably be incorporating the company for us. Hopefully they can advise on the best way to do this.

Another way of achieving it MIGHT be a 'bare trust'; though this might only be appropriate for minor (age) shareholders.

Should be able to find a sample on the net easily enough. Also get it stamped at the capital taxes office.

An individual can be a nominee. It was really meant as a pointer rather than "do this". It's important the trust deed is correctly executed. You can probably get one at a fairly nominal cost from a legal stationers or practice. Equally whoever you found offering nominee services may be able to help. Or your accountants.

It's a very common requirement.

Looked interesting, but it states that the nominee "shareholder / trustee is a company" - the only company we have is the one we're about to form. Doubt if the company can be a shareholder of itself ??? Unless an individual can be a nominee.

You could be their nominee through a deed of trust. This might help.
