    Depending on the sums involved and the sort of access you need abbey have some reasonable rates.

    If you have >£50K then most banks will entertain you speaking with their "Money Market" team about term deposits

    To be honest, I dont think they will be able to beat the deal that Hex mentioned from Northern Rock.

    Boring Deposit Account

    Very boring, but relatively secure and beats inflation. Northern Rock have a good rate (4.75% AER on their Business Reserve A/C) at the moment. Min deposit is 10K. Has to be operated by post.

    They say "The interest rate on Business Reserve is guaranteed to be no lower than 0.25% below the Bank of England Base Rate until 1 January 2010". I think this is a fairly good guarantee.

    I opened one recently and the application process was smooth and easy.

    Does anyone have any recommendations for getting the best from money left in the company. My Acc is recommending a Trasact account but not sure if that's just cos he'll get commission a plenty. What do others do?
