If it is a straight forward contracting company then the additional details you need to show on your letters, website and any other business documents is

    1. The company number
    2. Registered office and which country it was registered i.e. England and Wales / Scotland / Wales or Northern Ireland

On your invoices, you would also include the usual things like VAT no. if applicable, invoice number, tax point date, invoice date, customer etc.

Here's a usual link Guidance - incorporation and names (GP1)

Do I have to explicitly state that the address on the Letterhead is the registered address?

Also as well as Registered In xxxxx, Registared Office, and Company Number is there anything else thats ussful on there, VAT number etc or should that only be on invocies?
You need to state Ltd (or Limited), PLC, LLC etc depending on the status of your company.

Also state registered in (England and Wales|Scotland|Northern Ireland) number XXXXXX on letter heads etc.

For invoices you need the VAT number, date, unique invoice identifier as well as the above.
