    Try asking Companies House. If an application was made to dissolve the company in the courts, and it was not contested, then the company would have been dissolved. It is most unlikely that HMRC would have made an application to strike off without corresponding with you first. Unless you have a history of pissing them off, that is.

    And btw, you must not continue trading with a dissolved company, it is a serious offence.

    i have a dissolved flag against a ltd company that would like to keep trading any idea's why this flag would be placed on the ltd company in question ? Late filing perhaps ?
