I think this: :: gesch might be what I need, although it's not at all clear if they will ensure an individual rather than a company, although it probably would be if I could understand German properly.

I had to get it for one contract here and have kept it up. There are a few companies that do it such as Züricher and mine is through, er, can't remember the name now. I can't even remember what its called in German but I remember it was a hassle trying to find someone who did it. I don't know how its done in the UK but you have to fill out a number of roms stating what type of work you do. on what type of systems etc. and if this changes then you have to notify them.

    Professional Insurances in Germany

    Hi,

Does anyone have any advice on professional insurances in Germany? I guess I am talking about the equivalent of public liability & professional Indemnity insurance.

My understanding is that as a Freiberufler one has unlimited personal liability, so I would like to mitigate this, and also it seems my client would like to see some evidence of insurance as unlimited personal liability doesn't amount to very much in my case.

    Cheers.
