Hi Papavar
Yes, Umbrella organisations can make student loan deductions from your pay. If you wanted to pay voluntary contributions whilst the bank interest rates remain low, you would need to do that personally and you can find further information on the Direct Gov website

Making Student Loan RePayments
Hi All,
An old contractor, but new to this forum. Wish I'd found this when I first started but I was a bit (more) wet behind the ears then!
Anyway... after a couple of years as a permi I've decided to go back to contracting. Previously I've done this as a LtdCo but shut this down when I went perm. Not sure how long I'll be contracting for yet so planning to go brolly. Can anyone advise whether brollies usually have a mechanism for replaying student loans? As a LtdCo I was just doing this via my year end tax calc from HMRC - they told me how much to pay and sent it to Student Loans. Will it just come out of my deducations via PAYE or do I need to arrange something direct with SL?
Thanks
