Composite Companies/IR35 etc.

I'm currently employed by a Company overseas on a staff contract. I am returning to the UK soon and will once again work contract/agency on day rate. Is it worth looking at Brooksons etc. or is it best for me to set up my own Ltd.Co. again/also what is the attitude to self employed these days with the Oil and Gas companies/agencies. Advice needed.
